Membership of the Society for the Study of Medieval Languages and Literature for one year currently costs: £20 (GBP) for subscribers in the UK;  €25 (EUR) for subscribers in the rest of Europe; $40 (USD) for subscribers in the rest of the world; or £16 (GBP) if paid by standing order on a UK bank.  The benefits of membership of the Society include:

  • receipt of Medium Ævum free of charge, in print and electronically (delivered via email)
  • substantial reduction of 50% on prices of the Society's monographs
  • reduced rates or free entry for events organised by the Society
  • eligibility to apply for the Society's travel grants, support for research and sponsorship of conferences
  • reduced prices for members on selected journals and books published by Wiley-Blackwell
  • Special Offer for Graduate Students: for the duration of their studies graduate students will receive two years' membership, including receipt of the journal for two years, for the price of one year.

 

Subscriptions fall due each year (or every two years for graduate subscriptions) on the same month and day as that on which members joined. As well as fresh issues for the duration of their subscription, new members will also receive the last issue of the journal to have been published.

There are three ways to pay:

1) Via Paypal (with instant online access to journal). Please complete the form below, then push 'create new account' and follow the instructions; in order to complete your registration, please allow Paypal to return you to our website upon the completion of payment.

 

The next annual subscription will be automatically deducted via Paypal in the following year, on or around the same month and day on which you originally joined, and thereafter on the same date the following year - for graduate subscribers, the next annual subscription will be deducted in the second year, on or around the same month and day  on which you originally joined, and thereafter every two years, on the same date, for the duration of your graduate studies.

 

2.You can send your cheque for £20 / $40 / €25 to the Executive Officer, SSMLL, c/o History Faculty, George Street, Oxford, OX1 2RL, UK (e-mail: ssmll@history.ox.ac.uk). The next annual subscription will fall in the following year, on or around the same month and day on which you originally joined - for graduate subscribers, in the second year. 3. Or you can send a completed Bankers' Order for £16 to the same address. The next annual subscription will be automatically deducted from your account in the following year, on or around the same month and day on which you originally joined - for graduate subscribers, in the second year. Again, please specify if you are a graduate student.
