Annual General Meeting and Annual Lecture 2012

As part of the development of the Society's activities, the Annual General Meeting is going to take on a new format in 2012. The Executive Committee has decided that the AGM and Annual Lecture should, from this year on, move around the country so that the Society can bring itself closer to its membership which is spread across the British Isles. The first AGM with this new format will be hosted by the Institute of Medieval and Renaissance Studies (IMRS) at the University of Durham and will take place at 4:30pm on Saturday, 19th May 2012 in The Senate Room, The Castle, Durham, DH1 3RW, UK. The AGM will be immediately followed by the Annual Lecture. The Executive Committee is delighted to announce that this year's Lecturer will be a long-standing friend of the Society, a former editor of the journal and a former President, Prof. Helen Cooper (University of Cambridge). Her title will be 'The Ends of Story-telling'.

Attendance at the Lecture is free and open to all.

The AGM and Lecture will be followed by a drinks reception which will also be the launch of the Society's latest monograph: D. Rundle ed., Humanism in Fifteenth-Century Europe.

The reception is kindly sponsored by IMRS, University of Durham.
