Humanism in Fifteenth-Century Europe
To celebrate the on-line publication of Roberto Weiss' classic Medium Ævum Monograph, Humanism in England during the Fifteenth Century, the Society organised a one-day conference, which took place on 17th October 2009 at Corpus Christi College, Oxford.
Speakers included: John Flood, Jacqueline Glomski, Jeremy Lawrence, Stephen Milner, Cristina Neagu, David Rundle, Craig Taylor, Arjo Vanderjagt, Dan Wakelin.
A report, written by a graduate attendee, Edina Eszenyi, is available on the University of Kent website.
A number of open bursaries to assist graduate attendance were available, thanks to the generous support of the Society for Renaissance Studies. The event was also supported by Corpus Christi College's Centre for the Study of Greek and Roman Antiquity and a drinks reception was sponsored by Wiley-Blackwell.
The proceedings of the conference have been published as a volume in the Society's Monograph series.
